Solar eclipse 2017

On Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, viewers across North America (and beyond) were treated to a rare sight — a solar eclipse. While Vermont wasn’t in the path of totality, many people stepped outside around 2:40 p.m. — maximum eclipse time, from the Green Mountain vantage point — to gaze into the heavens, with the help of special viewing glasses.
